Girls on the Run Training

Our Young Girls need emPOWERed women

Girls on the Run Napa & Solano inspires all young girls to be CONFIDENT, joyful, caring and healthy! In order to meet the demand at 20 schools in Napa County, we still need 14 positive, empowered and healthy women volunteers for this fall season (9/8 – 11/15). As a co-“life-coach” you lead experiential activities, authentic life discussions and motivate the girls to move it. You do not need to be a runner! Healthy women who are committed to inspire young girls to believe in themselves and their dreams are needed.

To become a GOTR “life-coach”:

  • Complete an on-line application, get background check & attend GOTR training. To apply: www.gotrnapasolano.org
  • Commit to 1 or 2 days per week, for 1 1/4 hrs during 10 weeks (9/8 – 11/15) after-school for 8 to 15 girls.

The GOTR training is on 8/23 or 9/6 from 9 to 3:30 where you learn how to facilitate with fun and positive group management strategies and how to share the mission, values and learning objectives.

Girls on the Run is an uplifting empowerment program that creatively combines research proven life skill curriculum with fun activities and running or just moving it. It is an after-school program for girls ages 8 to 14, all fitness levels, body types and ethnicities, throughout Napa, St. Helena, Calistoga, American Canyon and Fairfield.

We are looking forward to another inspiring season for over 300 girls with 70% low income and 60% Latina girls.

Girls on the Run Napa & Solano is committed to help our community change

  • “run like a girl” to a compliment
